A Training Workshop for French-speaking African Journalists on the Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area
| dc.description | The African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC) of the United Nations of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), supported by the European Union, kicked off a training workshop for French-speaking African journalists on the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) from September 7 to 9 in Dakar, Senegal. The overall objective of this training workshop was to deepen participants' understanding and appreciation of AfCFTA’s role in stimulating economic growth. This comes in the context where many stakeholders who may need to take part in the implementation of the AfCFTA are unsure of their role and the benefits they could gain. Strategically communicating with these audiences to meet their information needs will help to address these barriers. This workshop also provides peer-learning opportunities where participants will share their experiences and explore the latest approaches and techniques in reporting on development projects. | en |
