Commemoration of Africa Industrialization Day and Africa Industrialization Week 2022
| dc.description | The African Union (AU) Extraordinary Summit on Industrialization and Economic Diversification and AU Extraordinary Session on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) took place in Niamey, Niger, from 20 - 25 November 2022. The theme of the Summit was “Industrializing Africa: Renewed Commitment towards Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization and Economic Diversification.” Before the Summit, several statutory meetings related to the AU Assembly took place in early November, including meetings of senior officials and Ministers in charge of industrialization, economic diversification, and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). A joint statement was delivered by AUC, AUDA-NEPAD, UNIDO, and UNECA during Africa industrialization day. | en |
