The Africa Regional Collaborative Platform RCP Consultative Meeting
| dc.description | Executive Secretary of ECA, Vera Songwe, joined Dr. Monique Nsanzabaganwa, Deputy Chairperson of the AUC; Ahunna Eziakonwa, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of UNDP's Regional Bureau for Africa and Amb. Albert Muchanga, Commissioner for Trade and Industry African Union Commission, on 21 March 2022 for the Africa Regional Collaborative Platform RCP consultative meeting with AU and discussed ways to strengthen collaboration between the AU & UN towards Agenda2063 and Agenda2030 and SDGs. The heads of the African Union Commission mentioned: "this meeting is to do our homework, and the UN has demonstrated strong leadership, friendship, and partnership, and expected to see the same situation down the pyramid from the regional blocs to national levels," and AU heads of state and governments have also urged institutional reforms and for the organization to focus on fewer priorities, namely political affairs, peace and security, regional integration, and global representation. | en |
