Fifth Annual Session of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA)
| dc.description | The fifth annual session of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) which opened on 18 February in Leopoldville, Congo attended by representatives from 35 independent countries, including 32 African countries. The session is expected to meet till 3 March. There were also attendants of representatives and observers from 25 non-African countries, associate members of the commission, specialized agencies, and inter-governmental and non- governmental organizations. They discussed about the current economic situation in Africa and moreover formed an Economic Committee with the election of a Vice-Chairman and a Rapporteur. | en |
