| dc.description | The Fifty-Third Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Bank (ADB) and the Forty-Fourth Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Fund (ADF) were held jointly from 21 to 25 May 2018 at the BEXCO Conference Center, Busan, Republic of Korea. 2018 Annual Meetings focused on accelerating Africa’s industrialization The Executive Secretary ECA, Vera Songwe, in Busan, South Korea, attended the African Development Bank Group Annual Meetings. Ms. Songwe also had met with AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina, the Prime Minister of Morocco, Saadeddine Othmani, former ECA Executive Secretaries Abdoulie Janneh and Carlos Lopes, respectively. She also had meetings with Nepad’s Ibrahim Hassane Mayaki, a cross-section of Central Bank Governors and VIPs, including the Deputy Prime Minister of Korea, Dong Yeon Kim, former Ghanaian President John Mahama, and the Prime Minister of Rwanda, Edouard Ngirente, among others. | en |
