| dc.description | The fifty-sixth session of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) took place from February 28 to March 5, 2024, in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The event was held under the theme: "Financing the Transition to Inclusive Green Economies in Africa: Imperatives, Opportunities, and Policy Options."
The session began with a preparatory meeting of the Committee of Experts of the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development and concluded with the ministerial segment.
As part of the conference, the Africa High-Level Working Group on Global Financial Architecture convened during CoM2024. The group emphasized the need to increase climate finance, amplify Africa’s voice in global financial reforms, and urged the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to enhance support for countries through the Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST). | en |
