COM 2024: Round Table on Technology for Development in Africa: Crafting a Path to Inclusive Technological Advancement
| dc.description | The fifty-sixth session of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) took place from February 28 to March 5, 2024, in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, under the theme "Financing the Transition to Inclusive Green Economies in Africa: Imperatives, Opportunities, and Policy Options." The event began with a preparatory meeting of the Committee of Experts of the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development and culminated in a ministerial segment. On March 4, 2024, the session featured a roundtable discussion titled "Technology for Development in Africa: Crafting a Path to Inclusive Technological Advancement." During the roundtable, panelists endeavored to develop key policy recommendations and identify the necessary institutions and instruments to bridge the technology gap between Africa and other global regions.
