Frederick Mugisha UNDP Africa Advisor Interview on Knowledge Fair Event at Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development 2024
| dc.description | The tenth Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development was held on 23-25 April 2024 at the UN Conference Centre, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in a hybrid format to allow both ways in-person and virtual participation. The theme was Reinforcing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and agenda 2063: the Africa we want, of the African Union and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises the effective delivery of sustainable resilient, and innovative solutions. The Forum was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and the United Nations system organizations. Side events and pre-events took place during the forum. Frederick Mugisha, SDG Integration Advisor at UNDP Africa, explained that knowledge contains three elements or disciplines: knowledge generation, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application. He also views platforms like this as opportunities for people to come together and share their knowledge about what they have done concerning generation and application. | en |
