Feben Debebe AIESEC, Ethiopia Interview on Knowledge Fair Event at Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development 2024
| dc.description | The tenth Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development was held on 23-25 April 2024 at the UN Conference Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in a hybrid format to allow both ways in-person and virtual participation. The theme was Reinforcing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and agenda 2063: the Africa we want, of the African Union and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises the effective delivery of sustainable resilient, and innovative solutions. The Forum was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and the United Nations system organizations. Side events and pre-events took place during the forum. Feben Debebe from AIESEC in Ethiopia expressed that she learned that there were specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that her organization had been lagging in. She emphasized the need to work hard with her organization, to address these goals. She mentioned receiving various partnership offers, which she believes present a significant opportunity for her organization. Additionally, she mentioned gaining valuable education about the SDGs that had been neglected. | en |
