| dc.description | The tenth Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development was held on 23-25 April 2024 at the UN Conference Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in a hybrid format to allow both ways in-person and virtual participation. The theme was Reinforcing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and agenda 2063: the Africa we want, of the African Union and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises the effective delivery of sustainable resilient, and innovative solutions. The Forum was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and the United Nations system organizations. Side events and pre-events took place during the forum. Christine Sund, Senior Advisor at the International Telecommunication Union Regional Office for Africa (ITU), mentioned: "I always look for the digital component because that's at the core of what the ITU brings to the UN system and the support to member states when it comes to digital transformation. It's been wonderful to walk around the fair. I've been having interesting discussions with NGOs and UN agencies about what they are doing and where they see the potential for digital." | en |
