| dc.description | The tenth Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development was held on 23-25 April 2024 at the UN Conference Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in a hybrid format to allow both ways in-person and virtual participation. The theme was Reinforcing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and agenda 2063: the Africa we want, of the African Union and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises the effective delivery of sustainable resilient, and innovative solutions. The Forum was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and the United Nations system organizations. Side events and pre-events took place during the forum. Christine Mwangi of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) mentioned that they primarily focus on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13, which pertains to climate change, and SDG 2. If this information is shared within countries or with knowledge management hubs, these hubs need to be connected to the UNRC system and regional cooperation frameworks. so if they share information, then it is important if you share then you have some data and this data will be used to confirm per country whenever and who is achieving what, and then that will create competition and it will help Africa move forward. | en |
