| dc.description | The tenth Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development was held on 23-25 April 2024 at the UN Conference Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in a hybrid format to allow both in-person and virtual participation. The theme was Reinforcing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and agenda 2063: the Africa we want, of the African Union and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises-the effective delivery of sustainable resilient, and innovative solutions. The Forum was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and the United Nations system organizations. Side events and pre-events took place during the forum. A knowledge fair event organized by KMSS. Ms. Mercie Obonyoh, Network of African Human Rights Institutions, explained that Human Rights is a very dynamic field, and because we are also then really integrating and strongly advocating for proper implementation and monitoring of the Sustainable development Goals, all agree with that is a critical aspect when it comes to human rights conversations, because we have specific human rights indicators that we also look for as SDGs are being, implemented and so a space like this where we can share a variety of our, you know publications and have an opportunity as well to talk through them with the different participants, really that helps to appreciate the work that we have done, not just as NANHRI or OHCHR but all the other partners appreciating that this work can only be done in partnership. | en |
