| dc.description | The tenth Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development was held on 23-25 April 2024 at the UN Conference Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in a hybrid format to allow in-person and virtual participation. The theme was Reinforcing the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and agenda 2063: the Africa we want, of the African Union and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises- the effective delivery of sustainable resilient, innovative solutions. The Forum was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Development Bank, and the United Nations system organizations. Side events and pre-events took place during the forum. A knowledge fair event organized by KMSS. Mr. John Sloan, Economic Affairs Officer, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, stated that It is always an excellent way for us to get the word out on some of the initiatives that we’re working on. SDG is one we need to get the word out and talk a lot with our partners on SDG 17 on partnerships. These are partnerships to push all the sustainable development goals forward and Agenda 2063 for the African Union. These partnerships include financing, technology, and a lot of areas where collaboration and capacity development are essential. | en |
