In this regard, he elaborated that over the years original integration, industrialization enhanced trade as well as economic and social transformation have been among the key objectives of Africa's development agenda. It is generally acknowledged that adequate infrastructure is a prerequisite to achieving each of these objectives Africa's ambitious vision for its infrastructure development is eloquently articulated in the African Union's Agenda 2063. According to the Infrastructure Consulting for Africa house at the African Development Bank, the total commitments to infrastructure investment in Africa in 2020 were 10 percent lower than in 2029. | en |
