The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA-GPAD) jointly organized the conference with the Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) - Regional Office. In this video, Mr. Vidar Helgesen, Secretary-General of IDEA stated That Youth are always at the forefront of political trends. everywhere in the world, people are connected; everywhere in the world, people know what is happening elsewhere. We still do not know how this will affect politics in the longer term, but we can be sure that it will affect politics worldwide. Hopefully, it will add to democracy’s promise.
