The 17th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was hosted by the Government of Ethiopia, in collaboration with UN ECA and UN DESA. This notable event unfolded from November 28 to December 2, 2022, in the vibrant city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, united under the overarching theme of 'Building a Resilient Internet for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future.' The forum's agenda was thoughtfully crafted around five key themes derived from the Global Digital Compact, as outlined in the UN Secretary-General's report titled 'Our Common Agenda.' The 17th annual IGF embraced a hybrid format, designed to ensure fair and inclusive participation for stakeholders, whether they were physically present in Addis Ababa or joining virtually. This hybrid approach extended to the session organizing teams, comprising organizers, speakers, moderators, and rapporteurs, who had the flexibility to participate either online or onsite. A highlight of the event was a captivating session titled 'The Future of Interplanetary Networks: A Conversation with Vint Cerf,' which took place on November 30, 2023. This engaging session featured a dialogue between Vinton Cerf, the co-creator of TCP/IP and recipient of the Turing Award (2004), and young innovators. The discussion revolved around the future evolution of the Internet and interplanetary networks, particularly in the context of the emerging space era where major technology companies are playing pivotal roles. In light of this, the session aimed to foster proactive consideration of the requirements that interplanetary networks should fulfill to enable 'connecting the unconnected' and extending Internet access to remote regions of our planet. The primary objective of this session was to provide young participants with a platform to express their visions for the future of the Internet and identify potential challenges associated with its development. The session adopted an informal atmosphere, encouraging unconventional thinking and innovative perspectivesen
