| dc.description | The ECA Office for North Africa will hold, on 30 October – 2 November in Tunis (Tunisia) its 33rd Intergovernmental Committee of Experts (ICE). Every year, delegates from seven countries (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Sudan and Tunisia) attend the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts to examine and discuss the economic and social development context in North Africa and the Office’s strategic orientations, short and medium-term actions plans and programme of work. The 33rd ICE meeting took place under the theme: Data revolution in North Africa: using data in support of structural transformation. This topic discussed in detail during the Expert Group Meeting held back to back with the ICE meeting, and in which participants examined the sub region’s data ecosystem in support to North Africa’s economic transformation and the implementation of both Agenda 2030 (SDGs) and Agenda 2063. | en |
