| dc.description | The fifty-fourth session of the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development consists of the preparatory meeting of the Committee of Experts, followed by the session of the Conference in Dakar, Senegal from 11 to 17 MAY 2022. In addition to considering the statutory matters of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), the Conference is one of the premier forums on the continent for dialogue and exchanges of views between African ministers responsible for finance, planning, and economic development and governors of central banks on issues pertinent to the development plan of Africa. This video is a showcase of Side Event - Illicit Financial Flows in Africa. The event is to share the experiences of African countries in addressing the challenges related to illicit financial flows. The event will provide evidence-based information to policymakers and other stakeholders on the current state of legal frameworks for asset recovery and on their achievements and shortfalls. Participants will explore opportunities to broaden the scope of measures to recover assets lost through illicit financial flows. | en |
