| dc.description | The African Centre of Statistics (ACS) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) held the third StatsTalk-Africa webinar which was focused on: Emerging Abilities of Large Language Models such as ChatGPT and their Potential Applications in ECA’s work: Economic Statistics, Macroeconomic Analysis, Environmental Economics, and the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and took place on Thursday, June 08, 2023. This webinar aimed to provide a deeper understanding of large language models and their potential to revolutionize macroeconomic analysis and environmental economics, and further promote sustainable development goals. A welcoming remark, Mr. Oliver Chinganya, Director, of the Africa Center for Statistics, ECA, expressed that this Stats Talk Africa session is entitled emerging abilities of large language models such as the Charts GPT and their potential applications in ECA’s Work. We all know that our ability to learn and adapt is of Paramount importance as we navigate through the area of Rapid technological advancement.
