| dc.description | The Felicitation Programme for retired staff members is a small gesture to recognize these staff's immense contributions over years of valuable service to the UN on 30 May 2023, ECA organized the first in the series of felicitation programmes for retiring staff members – in line with the overall efforts for change management towards building ECA. The following staff members were honoured in a short programme organized at the Delegates’ Lounge area of the UN Conference Centre from 3.30 PM to 4.30 PM. The retired staffs were: Brucktayet Woldemariame, 21 years of dedicated service at the Strategic Planning, Oversight & Results Division (SPORD); Wondwossen Girma, who retired after 23 years of service at the Publications, Conference & Knowledge Management Division (PCKMD); Shiferaw Asfaw retired after 27 years of service at Publications, Conference & Knowledge Management Division (PCKMD); Hagos Habtu, joined ECA in 1998 as a security officer and retired after 24 years and seven months of service at Security and Safety Service (SSS). Hanan Morsy, Deputy Executive Secretary and Chief Economist, ECA appreciates all the hard work dedication, and long service. She is impressed by the years that all the staff that are retiring in how many years they have served in the institution. | en |
