Tech Africa Women Initiative 2022
| dc.description | The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in partnership with Betacube, organized the first Demo Day of the Tech African Women (TAW) program at Adore Addis Hotel. Tech African Women (TAW) is an entrepreneurship program dedicated to empowering African female entrepreneurs by helping them transform their ideas into validated business models and building a strong female-led tech start-up pipeline and community in Africa. On the occasion of this first Demo Day, eight founders representing the four targeted African countries got invited to Addis Ababa to pitch their ideas with an opportunity to win a prize of USD 7,000. A start-up ecosystem tour was also organized in which the finalists visited a coworking space and an innovation hub and met successful local start-ups. | en |
