| dc.description | On September 26th, the Safety and Security Service (SSS) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) conducted a Recruitment Exercise with over 250 candidates at the ECA compound.
Female and male candidates from Ethiopian military institutions came early in the morning to fight for an opportunity to join the United Nations.
The recruitment exercise was composed of two parts. First, by a Physical Fitness Test, encompassing timed running and counted push-ups and sit-ups. From that, 170 candidates were able to pass and were invited to sit for a Written Examination at ECA Conference Centre.
The Written Examination assessed their memory, listening comprehension, logical reasoning, and writing skills. The candidates who pass the Written Examination will be convoked for a Competency Based Interview (CBI) soon.
According to the Chief, it is a rigorous process because these men and women will be the future of the Safety and Security Service, and it is fundamental that they perform with the highest standards and motivation. | en |
