| dc.description | The fifty-first session of the Economic Commission for Africa Conference of African ministers of finance, planning, and economic development took place at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The theme “African continental free trade area: fiscal space for jobs and economic diversification” and conscious that, with the signing of the agreement establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area by 44 states members of the African Union, the continent has laid the foundation for a new phase of African integration. The conference officially opened on Monday, 14 May 2018, at the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa. The briefing was moderated by Mr. Jim Ocitti, Director of PIKMD. Mr. Stephen Karangi, Director, RITD, and David Luke, Coordinator, ATPC, briefing discussed the theme and addressed questions posed by the participants. | en |
