| dc.description | The seventh session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development convened under the theme “Building forward better: Towards a resilient and green Africa to achieve the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063.” The meeting, which took place 1-4 March 2021, was held in a hybrid format, with in-person participation in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, and online participation by the continued health and safety measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. ARFSD-7 aimed to review regional progress, facilitate peer learning, and advance transformative solutions and actions to accelerate the implementation of the SDGs and the African Union’s Agenda 2063. She said, “Africa on average losses 5-9% of its GDP due to climate disasters and climate shocks every year.” The Signing of the partnership framework between the Government of the Republic of Congo and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), to create the African Center for Research on Artificial Intelligence (CARIA) within the University Denis Sassou Nguesso was also held during ARFSD 2021. | en |
