Parallel Breakout Session on Youth and ICT at the Fifth African Development Forum (ADF V)
| dc.description | The Fifth African Development Forum was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from November 16-18, 2006. The Economic Commission for Africa organized the forum with its strategic regional partner, the Africa Union, and in collaboration with other stakeholders in African development. The fifth African development forum theme was " Youth and Leadership in the 21st Century". Parallel breakout sessions were held during the forum. This session discussed best practices regarding how ICT can be used both as a tool to promote youth as leaders in the ICT sector and to foster broader economic development involving youth. It was expected that this session's outcomes would promote the African youth's objectives in the ICT for Development Network(AYIN), an offshoot of the World Summit on the information society (WSIS). | en |
