Africa CDC organized a regional multisectoral advocacy workshop on event-based surveillance on 8-11 August in Yaounde, Cameroon. The workshop brought together 40 surveillance officers and directors from 8 AU MS from the human, animal & environmental sectors in the central region. This advocacy workshop aimed to revise the Africa CDC EBS guidelines and tools, improve surveillance capacity, share best practices on early detection, and improve information sharing on regional threats. One key outcome is the establishment of an EBS community of practice for the central region.en
