| dc.description | The Eleventh Annual Meeting of the Africa Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF) was hosted by the Government of Malawi under the overarching theme of Digital Inclusion and Trust in Africa. The programme was built around the four main thematic tracks: (1) Affordable and meaningful access; (2) Cybersecurity, privacy, and personal data protection; (3) Digital skills & human capacity development; (4) Digital infrastructure.
The Forum brought together high-level officials, dignitaries, and participants drawn from African Union Commission, Member States, U.N. Organisations, the private sector, academia, and civil society to discuss digitalization.
Speaking during the occasion, the President of the Republic of Malawi, H.E. Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, stated that his government attaches high priority to digitalization. “The vision for a “digital Africa” can only be realized if we invest in indigenous solutions and workforce to drive this transformation.
