| dc.description | The seventh African Development Forum (ADF VII) was held in Addis Ababa at the united nations conference center from October 10-15th, 2010, under the theme of “Acting on climate change for Sustainable development in Africa.” The African Union, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the African development bank organized the meeting. The meeting was attended by all stakeholders from across the African continent governments, civil society, the private sector, and the UN Agencies.
The forum comprised five main plenary and several breakout sessions to build consensus and mobilize partnerships for Africa’s climate change agenda.
In the Plenary session on the High-Level Leadership Dialogue on the theme Governance and Leadership Response to Climate Change, African Development Bank (AfDB) President, Donald Kaberuka, said climate change ought to be the defining factor of true leadership and good governance globally.
