Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé chaired the opening of the first Africa Cybersecurity Summit in Lomé. "We are gathered here to reflect on ways to meet the challenges of cybercrime. It is about developing synergies to fight crime in the digital transition," said Mr. Gnassingbé in his speech. Summit opening.
"One of Africa's major concerns in this regard is cybersecurity," said Faure Gnassingbé, insisting that it is important that Africa "be there and at the same time be part of this new world under construction to respond adequately to the challenges it entails."
