| dc.description | The Seventh Annual African Economic Conference 2012 took place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 30 October- 2 November 2012. The theme for this year's conference was "Fostering Inclusive and Sustainable Development in Africa in an Age of Global Uncertainty."
Over 500 participants attended the African Economic Conference. It was a joint initiative of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the African Development Bank(AfDB), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
A Plenary Session on the conference's theme on Inclusive and Sustainable Development in an Age of Economic Uncertainty was held on 30 October 2012.
