| dc.description | The Government of Egypt and the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Egypt on 19 January 2012 to participate in the development of Information and Communication Technology to foster the implementation of action lines of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). Mr. Abdoulie Janneh, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the ECA, and Mr. Mohamed Salem – the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Egypt signed the MoU in light of the Egyptian proposal to host the review meeting together with the World Telecommunications Conference (WTDC) in 2014. | en |
