| dc.description | The Africa Business Forum: Investing in People, Planet, and Prosperity, was held on Tuesday, 11 February 2020, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the margins of the 33rd Ordinary Summit of the African Union Assembly of the Heads of State and Government. The Business Forum promoted an ongoing dialogue between the African private and public sectors. It fostered opportunities for the private sector to contribute to the collective efforts in addressing some of the issues that affect People, the Planet, and Prosperity. The dialogue also benefitted from the attendance of Heads of State and other officials at the African Union Summit. In her closing remarks, Songwe said, “Ambitious climate action can deliver a US$26 trillion boost to the global economy between now and 2030. If we enter into the new climate economy, we can create 20 million jobs for the continent. Right now, we need 13 million jobs every year.” | en |
