Launched by the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group in November 2006 in collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the African Economic Conference has, since then, become an annual event, with this year's meeting taking place against the backdrop of a severe global financial crisis that has hurt many African countries. | en |
