The first presentation of this session was on the theme: “Determinants of the adoption of renewable energy technologies in developing countries.” This study has focused on the drivers, variables, and models that should lead to the adoption by African countries of renewable energy sources. Among these engines, the possibility of generalizing access to these energies, hydroelectric and non-hydroelectric sources. Developing countries, particularly in Africa, have no responsibility for CO2 emissions, and however, this should not exclude them from the exploitation of renewable resources. This consensus emerged from discussions on renewable energy and environmental issues at the ongoing African Economic Conference in Addis Ababa.en
