| dc.description | The workshop on "Legal and Regulatory framework for the knowledge economy" which was organized on the 2nd of May 2010 during the Second meeting of the Committee on Development Information and Science and Technology in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia was brought together policymakers, legal practitioners, law enforcement agencies and representatives of regional economic communities to share knowledge and resources on lessons learned and best practices in cyber legislation formulation and enactment in the African region. Capitalizing on all the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), the workshop was also taking stock of the status of harmonization of cyber legislations at sub-regional and regional levels.
