| dc.description | At its ninth session, the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) Committee on Sustainable Development meeting there were discussions on the role of technology and innovation in driving economic growth in the region, including consideration of the African Mining Vision, which envisages drawing on mineral resources to foster sustainable socio-economic development. The meeting provided a platform for the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD), a multi-stakeholder group. The forum was made recommendations to the July 2015 session of the High-level political forum on sustainable development (HPLF), and provide guidance to UNECA on implementation of its 2014/15 work programme. | en |
