| dc.description | The sixth session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2018), conveyed under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), took place from 9-18 July 2018. The three-day ministerial meeting of the Forum was held from 16-18 July as part of ECOSOC's high-level segment. The theme of HLPF 2018 was: ‘Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies.
At the Opening of the High-level Segment / Ministerial Meeting, ECOSOC President Marie Chatardová chaired this session. In opening remarks, she noted insufficient progress on the 2030 Agenda and pointed to the importance of science, technology, research, engagement with the private sector, and policy coherence. | en |
