| dc.description | The African Economic Conference (AEC) 2018 took place from 3-5 December 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme: Regional and Continental Integration for Africa’s Development.
The Conference was jointly organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB), the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
In March 2018, 44 African Countries committed to the launch of a common market for Africa - the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA); this follows an African Common Passport launch in July 2016. These are additional milestones towards Africa’s integration that will enable people to build better lives.
